How do you know if a piece of research work is good or not? how are they evaluated?
There are a lot of methods in considering a research method, if it is good or not. These are the following:
1.Define and articulate a research question (formulate a research hypothesis)
2.Identify possible sources of information in many types and formats
3.Judge the scope of the project
4.Reevaluate the research question based on the nature and extent of information available and the parameters of the research project.
5.Select the most appropriate investigative methods (surveys, interviews, experiments) and research tools (periodical indexes, databases, Web sites)
6.Plan the research project
7.Retrieve information using a variety of methods (draw on a repetoire of skills)
8.Refine the search strategy as necessary
9.Write and organize useful notes and keep track of sources
10.Evaluate sources using appropriate criteria
11.Synthesize, analyze, and integrate information sources and prior knowledge
12.Revise hypothesis as necessary
13.Use information effectively for a specific purpose
14.Understand such issues as plagiarism, ownership of information (implications of copyright to some extent), and costs of information
15.Cite properly and give credit for sources of ideas

What do you think is the role of research topic in deciding your future career?
Research is an activity wherein you can measure your intellectual capacity on how you can use it in a way. Finding specific topic which you think that interest you and doing some research out of it can help you develop and enhance your skills in the field that you choose to improvise. Doing some studies and researches may help you evaluate the things you really want to do in the near future. Doing some research or studies also, you can develop and you discover new knowledge that will help you to expand your understanding on the things that you’ve been studying. And also, because of the eagerness and curiosity you have shown to study the specific topic or question you want and which you think that you’re good at in such field this will help you to visualize the things what you really want to achieve in the future.
As a CS/IT student of USEP, What Research Topic Should Usually be Address?
Being an IT/CS student we will address our research topic, of course, in line in our studies or fields. As an IT/CS we are focusing on the innovation of technologies, so we will relate our particular or specific research topic to a certain area or field which we will enhance our knowledge and practice our skills and also we have the background or particular understanding to that area or field we held on. In those area or fields that we choose to expand our understanding are those areas where in we will use our knowledge in software application like using programming languages and other related software, hardware, computing, networking, or other application related and use as a basis for our studies.
